Assistant Supervisor - Mill Maintenance
Glencore’s McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class zinc-lead mine with a long future. You will find our mine in the Gulf of Carpentaria 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola. We produce and process zinc, lead, and silver from our open cut mine. It is then stored and transported to our Bing Bong loading facility and shipped to our customers worldwide. Our customers use our essential commodities in everyday products for mobility, infrastructure, and communications.
Safety is the focal point to the success of MRM. Everyone at MRM is responsible for contributing to the operational disciplines that ensure we are all safe - this is critical in our day-to-day work.

What we are looking for:
- Professional, adaptable, positive leader to guide a team of experienced Trades personnel on a rotation of day and night shift.
- Proven high standards of safety to lead by example, encouraging your crew to identify and take action when required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, from Apprentices to Upper Management.
- Accountability to deliver on planned maintenance schedule.
- Embed and drive an aligned culture that creates success with a focus on safety.
- Extensive proven knowledge of fixed plant equipment such as jaw and cone crushers, mills, slurry pumps and hydraulic pressure filters.
What you can offer:
- Trade qualification (Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker)
- Non-Slew crane ticket (Desirable)
- Working at Heights, EWP and Confined Space, Forklift and riggers tickets.
- Experience leading and developing a team in a mining environment or similar.
- Safety conscious thinking, with demonstrated examples of improvements from previous roles.
