Senior Operational Technology (OT) Data Analyst

The Opportunity
As a Senior OT Data Analyst, you will be responsible for integrating and transforming operational mining data into strategic, actionable information for reporting, predictive analysis, and process optimization.
This position plays a key role in bridging IT and Operations, ensuring data integration from operational systems with business platforms and decision-making processes. We seek a candidate with mining industry experience who can leverage data to enhance efficiency and safety in operations.
This role reports directly to the Global Data and Analytics Manager.

The Opportunity

This position plays a key role in bridging IT and Operations, ensuring data integration from operational systems with business platforms and decision-making processes. We seek a candidate with mining industry experience who can leverage data to enhance efficiency and safety in operations.
This role reports directly to the Global Data and Analytics Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead digital transformation initiatives in mining. Evaluate and oversee vendor proposals and implementations, ensuring compliance with technical and strategic requirements.
- Support and mentor data analysts across different teams.
- Facilitate collaboration between IT, Operations, and Analytics teams. Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient data use in decision-making.
- Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance at all levels.
- Develop advanced analytics strategies to enhance decision-making through predictive and prescriptive models and optimization techniques.
- Implement analytical reports to identify deviations and define data-driven corrective actions.
- Deploy predictive models to anticipate key business conditions, reduce uncertainty, and improve planning.
- Implement integrated models with optimizers, providing specific actions to drive operations towards desired outcomes.
- Oversee and validate the availability of operational data for integrated analytics systems, including:

- Characterizing technology gaps and their dependencies on the next stages of data analytics maturity.
- Proposing maturation sequences to close technological data gaps.
- 10+ years of experience in technology applied to industrial or mining operations.
- Experience with mining solutions in fleet management, plant optimization, or maintenance.
- Familiarity with FMS-Dispatch, PI System, SAP-PM, or equivalent data interfaces.
- Expertise in data analytics and visualization using SQL, Python, and Python visualization libraries.
- Experience in predictive modeling and optimization using Python and orchestrators.
- Strong communication skills, leadership ability, and stakeholder management expertise.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing digital transformation projects.
- Ability to translate operational requirements into actionable technological solutions.
- Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
- Certifications in AWS Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer, or PMP.
- Knowledge of DataOps, Industrial IoT, and MLOps in mining.
- Experience in data architecture for mining (Data Lakes, Industrial Data Warehouses).
